Drawing on his diverse background, including years as a competitive athlete (soccer, lacrosse, and semi-professional paintball) and his current work as a professional musician, T.J. brings a relatable, creative, and dynamic perspective to therapy. These experiences allow him to connect with clients in authentic ways, blending performance, discipline, and artistry into his clinical approach.
At the heart of T.J.’s work is a deep commitment to relationship building. He is humbled by every opportunity to create meaningful connections and values the trust clients place in him.
As both a licensed counselor and a registered nurse, T.J. blends his backgrounds in mental health and medical care to offer clients a truly holistic perspective. He integrates nursing knowledge with his counseling expertise to address the intersection of mind and body, helping clients navigate not only emotional challenges but also the broader factors that affect their overall well-being.
Academically, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Quinnipiac University, his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University, and a Certificate of Nursing from Yale University. He is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Yale University, further bridging the worlds of counseling and advanced nursing practice.
